Easton Police Arrest Pair on Drug Charges
EASTON — Chief Gary F. Sullivan reports that the Easton Police Department arrested two men on multiple charges after a long-term investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant Monday afternoon.
As a result, NICHOLAS BEON, AGE 21, OF EASTON is charged with:
- Distribution of a Class B Substance (Cocaine and Oxycodone)
- Distribution of a Class D Substance (Marijuana)
- Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
Police seized an assortment of prescription pills from BEON’S home and he may face additional charges once the pills are identified.
COREY LAMME, AGE 24, OF NORTON is charged with:
- Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law
- Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
At approximately 1:08 p.m., Easton Police executed a search warrant at 5 Chandler Way. Members of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) SWAT Team and Northern Bristol County Drug Task Force also responded to the scene to assist.
Following an approximately six-month narcotics investigation, Easton Police secured an arrest warrant for BEON and a search warrant for his home.
BEON was arrested without incident. Substances believed to be cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana, were seized from his house in addition to the pills. LAMME was arrested outside of the home and he allegedly had a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine in his possession.
The SWAT team was summoned to the scene out of an abundance of caution, because information garnered during the investigation led police to believe that BEON was in possession of illegal firearms. Two CO2-powered pellet guns were seized from the home. They are extremely realistic in their appearance, with the barrel of a revolver-style pellet gun bearing the name of an actual handgun manufacturer.
No one was injured during the operation.
“I want to commend Easton detectives for their work on this case, which led to the arrest of a known drug dealer in our community,” Chief Sullivan said. “I would also like to thank our law enforcement partners for their assistance during today’s operation.
BEON and LAMME will be held at the Bristol County Jail pending their arraignment at Taunton District Court.
