Last night, School Resource Officer Chris Aker took the stage with the Oliver Ames Concert Band. As expected, he settled in just fine with his 30 years experience of playing brass instruments. We’d like to take this moment to remind everyone that part of being a school resource officer is to help break down the barriers that can exist between students and police officers in order to help mentor, educate, and promote a safe environment for everyone. SRO Aker is using his lifelong commitment to music to help break down some of those barriers and we couldn’t be prouder! A special thank you to Oliver Ames Music Director Robert Wheeler and the entire ensemble for inviting Chris to join!

Stay tuned for details on the next concert as tickets are expected to go fast!
